Britain's favourite chocolate bar ever is...
A poll run by retro sweetshop A Quarter Of... received 40,000 responses when asked for their favourite sweets or chocolate bars of all time. A top 10 was compiled and the item that came out at No.1 had more votes than the rest of the top 10 combined.
Evidently the winning bar has a fan club who have been considering petitioning for the manufacturers, Nestlé, to start production once again to satisfy their retro cravings and fond memories.
Another strange finding is that the top 5 favourites are all items that are out of production. However, voters of the No.1 item will be pleased to know that it is having a relaunch, although a temporary one, and will be back in production for just 6 weeks.
It appears that sweets from the past seem to bring back fond memories for the majority of people who will happily reminisce about the sweets of their childhood, maybe this is why A Quarter Of... receives orders for up to 2 tonnes of retro sweeties a day.
So what was the No.1 favourite sweet of all time?...
