Chocolate is #1 wanted treat at Halloween

According to a national survey carried out in California you're never too old to trick or treat, with consumers planning to spend more this year than last on Halloween related items, with chocolate the No. 1 rated treat for those spooky forages.

The survey showed that 58% of Americans plan to take part in Halloween activities.

Most trick or treaters want to see chocolate, money and candy in their Halloween bags, with fruit unfortunately coming in second to last.

Statistics for favourite treats:

• 49% - chocolate
• 15% - money
• 10% - chewy candy
• 8% - hard candy
• 4% - popcorn
• 4% - gum
• 3% - fruit
• 0.7% - stickers

So to avoid disappointing your local ghoul on October 31st make sure you get a store of top ranking treats ready and waiting.
