Chocolate ban in Scottish school

A primary school, Albyn School in Aberdeen, has banned its pupils from eating chocolate.

The private school has introduced a scheme whereby pupils caught eating unhealthy snacks will have them confiscated, in a move to educate the pupils about the importance of a healthy diet.

Scotland has long been renowned for an unhealthy diet, and the school is trying to change pupils mindsets about what constitutes an acceptable snack.

Any confiscated chocolate, or other snacks will be returned to parents at the end of the day.

Editors note: So that's okay then, they can eat them on the way home in the car, thus avoiding the need to eat a proper dinner at the end of the day.
