Put the whipping cream and finely chopped chocolate into
a small saucepan over a low heat. Simmer, stirring
continuously, until the chocolate is melted and has completely
blended with the cream. |

Remove saucepan from heat and put the base into a bowl of
cold water, this is to reduce the temperature of the
chocolate cream mixture, stir continuously until
cooled. |

Put crushed ice into a cocktail shaker and pour the
brandy and creme de cacao over the ice. Add the cooled
chocolate cream. Shake well (with lid on), then strain into two
chilled martini glasses. |

Optional - dust the top of each chocolate martini with
finely grated nutmeg. |
